Our building may have been in existence long before us, but our story begins in 2005. Once the building was given a grand remodel in 2004, a new event venue was born in Long Beach. This is where I come in.

As an engaged bride and native Long Beach resident, I stumbled upon the venue in my search for a wedding location. My fiancé, also a native of the city, and I were completely floored to even find out the building existed. We felt as though we found a hidden gem and booked the venue on the spot for our wedding date in October of 2005. We were married in front of the fireplace in candle lit ceremony on a warm Friday night. That night marked not only the beginning of our marriage, but the beginning of my amazing connection to a very old building.

Fueled by the need to share this amazing place with others, I began to work with the building owners about taking on the venue as my own business. In January of 2006, I was on my way to form 290 Occasions, LLC, a family run event planning and rental business focused on The Ebell Club of Long Beach. Shortly thereafter, I hired my sister Allison, who was just recently married at the club herself.

Being connected personally to the building and being a perfectionist has made me personally ensure that every event held at our venue is flawlessly executed with a very high-level of service. We want every person that attends your event to tell their friends about your party and our beautiful building. We want you to feel connected to us too. We will become family on the day of your event and will make sure you feel the same connection with our building as the brides who have walked before you.
